New postdoc joined our group
Dr. Wojciech Sas joined our group on March 1 as a postdoctoral researcher working on the HRZZ project “Intercalated transition metal dichalcogenides“. |
He obtained his PhD 2022 from the Institute of Nuclear Physics PAN under the supervision of prof. Magdalena Fitta. He worked mainly with molecular magnetic materials, with a particular focus on Prussian blue analogs. He conducted research on powders and samples with reduced dimensionality, such as films, nanotubes, and nanoparticles. His work involved various tasks, including synthesis processes, sample preparation, and measurements. The core technique he used was SQUID magnetometry, which encompassed DC magnetization, AC susceptibility, and magnetocaloric effect. In addition, he has experience with electron microscopy (SEM), UV-VIS and IR spectroscopies, X-ray diffraction, and physical vapor deposition (PVD) of metal films. From 2019 to 2023, he led the Preludium project that was funded by the Polish National Science Center (NCN). The project was entitled “Synthesis and properties studies of Prussian Blue analogues nanorods.”
